Resource Teacher for RVS & Colony Schools

Particulars:

The successful candidate will retain a 1.0 FTE (100%) permanent teaching position engaging in K-6 Resource Teacher responsibilities at Roseau Valley School and K-12 Resource Teacher responsibilities in 4 BLSD Colony Schools.  Located within a 20 km radius of Dominion City, Avonlea Colony, Glenway Colony, Blue Clay Colony, and Ridgeville Colony are the K-12 Colony Schools supported by this Resource Teacher.  This position will commence September 3, 2024.  Resource Teacher responsibilities include leadership and case management for the student specific planning process, ongoing documentation, and file management, leadership in supporting EAL students, and teacher support for inclusive classroom practices. We are looking for candidates who have experience working with students with exceptionalities, the ability to develop exceptional rapport with colleagues, and the ability to be an effective member of the school team and community.


Qualifications and Experience:

  1.   Must hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
  2.   Special Education Teacher's Certificate is considered an asset
  3.   Experience as a Resource Teacher is considered an asset


Salary and Benefits:

The compensation package for this position is in accordance with the collective agreement between Border Land School Division and the Border Land Teachers’ Association of the Manitoba Teachers’ Society.
