Particulars:

The successful candidate will retain a 1.0 FTE (100%) permanent position teaching Woodwork and Design  Technology courses at Roseau Valley School.  RVS is a Kindergarten-12 high school with 200 students located in Dominion City, Manitoba.  This permanent position will commence for the 2022-2023 school year.  Candidates must possess the knowledge to operate and the skills to teach students on the following machines: laser cutter, CNC router, woodworking equipment and 3D printer.  We are looking for candidates who are flexible, can work as an effective team member and has the ability to connect with diverse groups of students.  In addition, preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching Science, experience working with students with special needs, and those with effective classroom management skills.  This position will be open for applications until filled.


Qualifications and Experience:

  1.   A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate, or eligibility for certification in the Province of Manitoba, or willingness and ability to work toward a Vocational Industrial Teacher's Certification
  2.   Experience in Middle & Senior Years in considered an asset
  3.   Experience in a Vocational and/or IA classroom is considered an asset
  4.   Preference will be given to candidates with relatable teaching experience


Salary and Benefits:

The compensation package for this position is in accordance with the collective agreement between Border Land School Division and the Border Land Teachers’ Association of the Manitoba Teachers’ Society.
